MUTHU PARPAM;

Muthu Parpam is a classical medicine in the Siddha system of medicine, it is used to treat Intestinal worms, fistula, and other anorectal diseases. It is very useful in relieving Peptic ulcer,Flatulence,Indigestion,Kapha, it is a useful for cough, breathlessness, and eye disorders and is a powerful cardiac tonic, mood elevator, and known to promote strength, intellect, and semen production.

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Pinctada margaritifera -used as an anti-inflammatory, detoxifying agent, and relaxant in Chinese medicine. This could be in part because of the magnesium it contains . Magnesium has an ability to elevate gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels, which can help alleviate depression, anxiety, and certain sleep disorders.

Trianthema decandra - traditionally used as analgesic, stomachic, laxative, treatment of blood disease, anemia, inflammation, and night blindness. 

Calotropis gigantea - as effective in treating skin, digestive, respiratory, circulatory and neurological disorders and was used to treat fevers, elephantiasis, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The milky juice of Calotropis procera was used against arthritis, cancer, and as an antidote for snake bite.

Ficus racemosa - is a popular medicinal plant in India, which has long been used in Ayurveda, the ancient system of Indian medicine, for various diseases/disorders including diabetes, liver disorders, diarrhea, inflammatory conditions, hemorrhoids, respiratory, and urinary diseases.

Terminalia arjuna - has been used to balance the three “humors”: kapha, pitta, and vata. It has also been used for asthma, bile duct disorders, scorpion stings, and poisonings. 

INDICATIONS;

Muthu parpam is a Siddha medicine, its cures the following conditions

Moolam[ piles/ hemorrhoids], pavithiram [fistula], kshayam[emaciations], kaasam[ cough/bronchitis], and also for the following 

Water - night blindness

Cow's milk - excessive heat, chronic fever

Scared basil leaf juice -  convulsion, myalgia,

Wood apple juice - biliousness

Negundo leaf juice - vatha disorders

Cow's butter - piles

Bael leaf juice - chronic diarrhoea

Sugarcane juice - latent fever, nervous disorder

Sugar - vomiting/emesis

Ghee - cough, emaciation, internal hemorrhages, hemoptysis, biliousness, 

Agasthi leaf juice  - nervous disorder

Goat milk curd - acute nervous disorder

Infusion of [niruvisha kudineer] - the hallucination of sleep,

DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS;

Take 50- 100mg twice daily with suitable adjuvants after food or as directed by the physician.
