RASA CHENDOORAM;

Rasa Chendooram is a classical Siddha medicine, it is used to treat Vadha disorder. It is useful for bone density since it is a good source of calcium. hence used in arthritis osteoporosis etc., it is useful to promote the strength of bones and joints.

Rasasindura is a mercury-based nanopowder synthesized using natural products through mechanothermal processing. It has been used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine since time immemorial for various therapeutic purposes such as rejuvenation, treatment of syphilis, and genital disorders. Rasasindura is said to be composed of mercury, sulphur, and organic moieties derived from the decoction of plant extracts used during its synthesis. There is little scientific understanding of the preparation process so far. Though metallic mercury is incorporated deliberately for therapeutic purposes, it certainly raises toxicity concerns. The lack of gold standards in the manufacturing of such drugs leads to a variation in the chemical composition of the final product. The objective of the present study was to assess the physicochemical properties of Rasasindura samples of different batches purchased from different manufacturers and assess the extent of the deviation and gauge its impact on human health. Modern characterization techniques were employed to analyze particle size and morphology, surface area, zeta potential, elemental composition, crystallinity, thermal stability, and degradation. The average particle size of the samples observed through scanning electron microscope ranged from 5-100 nm. Mercury content was found to be between 84 and 89% from elemental analysis. Despite batch-to-batch and manufacturer-to-manufacturer variations in the physicochemical properties, all the samples contained mercury in the form of HgS. These differences in the physicochemical properties may ultimately impact its biological outcome.

It is used as an excellent anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine. It is used for the treatment of ankle pain, ankle twitch, slipped disc, sprain, back spasm, backache, back injury, stiffness of muscles, coccyx pain.

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Purified Hydragyrum- is corrosive to mucous membranes and used as a topical antiseptic and disinfectant. 

Purified Elemental sulphur - used to increase the synthesis of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe), glutathione (GSH), taurine, and N-acetylcysteine (NAC). MSM may be effective for the treatment of allergy, pain syndromes, athletic injuries, and bladder disorders.

Gallus domesticus - used to treat conditions caused by low calcium levels such as bone loss (osteoporosis), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets), decreased activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism), and certain muscle diseases (latent tetany).

Citrus aurantifolia - is widely used because of its antibacterial, anticancer, antidiabetic, antifungal, anti-hypertensive, anti-inflammation, anti-lipidemia, and antioxidant properties; moreover, it can protect the heart, liver, bone, and prevent urinary diseases.

INDICATIONS;

Rasa Chendooram is useful for Azhal Kelvayu, and Valiazhal Keelvayu[ osteoarthritis and rheumatic arthritis]

It is useful for Vatha Noikal[rheumatic disorder]

It is useful for Vayu Noigal [ disorders of the vatham],

It is useful for Suram [fever] and cough/ spasm]

It is used to treat [Ellai/ Illaipu]

DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS;

Take 50 mg to 100 mg with ghee[Pasu Nei] or honey [thean] or Milaguthool[Pepper powder] after food twice a day or as directed by the physician.
