SIVANAR AMIRTHAM;

Sivanar Amirtham is a Classical Siddha medicine in Siddha Vaidhiya Thirattu. Sivanar Amirtham is a traditional herbs-mineral formulation used for the treatment of various ailments in the Siddha system of medicine. Sivanar Amirtha is a combination of eight ingredients and has anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, and analgesic activities. This medicine is useful in curing diseases due to the derangement of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha in the body.

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Purified mercury - is corrosive to mucous membranes and used as a topical antiseptic and disinfectant. 

Purified Dryopteris filixmas -  treatment of inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, wounds, and ulcers.

Purified sulfur -  antibacterial effects against the bacteria that cause acne. It also might help promote the loosening and shedding of skin. This is believed to help treat skin conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis or acne.

Purified Arsenic disulphide - used for external application and internally for chronic diseases after purification and incineration.

Borax dehydrated - is included in nutritional supplements to improve bone and joint health, balance sex hormones, and reduce inflammation.

Purified Aconitum ferox - is a very famous medication in Ayurveda for fever and all inflammatory conditions. Meethavish plant is one of the most ancient home remedies for fever. It has a diuretic action, causes bradycardia, and reduces sweating.

Piper nigrum - 'Piperine''exhibits diverse pharmacological activities like antihypertensive, antiplatelet, antioxidant, antitumor, anti-asthmatics, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal, antispasmodic, antidepressants, immunomodulatory, anticonvulsant, anti-thyroids, antibacterial.

Piper longum -  is most commonly used to treat chronic bronchitis, asthma, constipation, gonorrhea, paralysis of the tongue, diarrhea, cholera, chronic malaria, viral hepatitis, respiratory infections, stomachache, bronchitis, diseases of the spleen, cough, and tumors.

Zingiber officinale - treating nausea, dysentery, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, loss of appetite, infections, cough, and bronchitis.

INDICATIONS;

Diseases arising out of derangement of 80 types of Vadham [Vatha dosha].

Diseases arising out of derangement of 40 types of Pitham [Pitta dosha].

Diseases arising out of derangement of 20 types of Kabam [Kapha dosha]. 5 Vagai Suvasam [respiratory disorders], a wide range of neuralgic diseases, arthritis, rheumatism, respiratory diseases[ Suvaga rogam], bilious diseases[Pitha noigal], etc. due to vitiation of Vata, pitta, Kapha doshas respectively.

It cures Kushtam [skin diseases]

It is useful for Gunmam [colic]

It is useful for Janni/Sanni [delirium]

It is useful for Moolam [piles]

It is useful for Kshayam [emaciation]

It is useful for Mahodaram/Peruvayiru [ascites] etc.

It is useful for  Aakkiranam [snuff] in insect bites/stings such as Thelkadi [scorpion sting], Aranai kadi [skink bite] & Kumarakanda Vali.

It is useful to promote the strength of bones and joints.

It acts as an excellent anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine.

It is used for the treatment of ankle pain, ankle twitch, slipped disc, sprain, back spasm, backache, back injury, stiffness of muscles, Coccyx pain

DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS;

Take 100 to 200 mg with honey, ginger juice, or breast milk twice daily after food, or as directed by the physician.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS;

Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, bitter gourd, sasban, non-veg foods, and tobacco.
