VADHA KESARI THAILAM;

Vatha Kesari Thailam/Vat Kesari Oil is poly-herbal Ayurvedic medicated oil. This oil or tail is applied topically and massaged to get relief from pain in the body’s joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, tendons, and structures that support limbs, neck, and back.

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Terminalia chebula -  is used to protect the liver and to treat respiratory conditions, including respiratory tract infections, cough, and sore throat. 

Allium sativum - a wonderful medicinal plant owing to its preventive characteristics in cardiovascular diseases, regulating blood pressure, lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels, effective against bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections, enhancing the immune system, and having antitumoral.

Piper triocum -  active constituent ''Piperine''exhibits diverse pharmacological activities like antihypertensive, antiplatelet, antioxidant, antitumor, anti-asthmatics, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal, antispasmodic, antidepressants, immunomodulatory, anticonvulsant, anti-thyroids, antibacterial.

Ferula asafoetida - is used in modern herbalism in the treatment of hysteria, some nervous conditions, bronchitis, asthma, and whooping cough. It was at one time employed in the treatment of infantile pneumonia and flatulent colic. The gum resin is antispasmodic, carminative, expectorant, laxative, and sedative.

Elemental Sulphur - be used to increase the synthesis of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe), glutathione (GSH), taurine, and N-acetylcysteine (NAC). MSM may be effective for the treatment of allergy, pain syndromes, athletic injuries, and bladder disorders.

Saussurea lappa -  its anti-ulcer, anti-convulsant, anti-cancer, hepatoprotective, anti-arthritic, anti-viral activities.

Zingiber officinale -treating nausea, dysentery, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, loss of appetite, infections, cough, and bronchitis.

Piper longum -is most commonly used to treat chronic bronchitis, asthma, constipation, gonorrhea, paralysis of the tongue, diarrhea, cholera, chronic malaria, viral hepatitis, respiratory infections, stomachache, bronchitis, diseases of the spleen, cough, and tumors.

Brassica nigra - Black mustard oil is used for the common cold, painful joints and muscles (rheumatism), and arthritis. Black mustard (Brassica nigra) is the most pungent

Vitex negundo -  is an important medicinal plant with potent anti-inflammatory activity. These constituents contribute various pharmacological activities as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antinociceptive, anti-ulcer, free radicals scavenging, hepatoprotective and many more.

Clerodendron phlomoides -  have the property of appetizer and digestive. It boosts the appetite and aids in the proper digestion of food.

Capra aegagrus - is important for the prevention of cardiovascular disease, cancer, allergy and microorganism and used for the stimulation of immunity. 

Caltropis gigantic -effective in treating skin, digestive, respiratory, circulatory, and neurological disorders and was used to treat fevers, elephantiasis, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The milky juice of Calotropis Procera was used against arthritis, cancer, and as an antidote for snakebite.

Ricinus communis - have been widely used in traditional medicine such as abdominal disorders, arthritis, backache, muscle aches, bilharziasis, chronic backache and sciatica, chronic headache, constipation, the expulsion of the placenta, gallbladder pain, period pain, menstrual cramps, rheumatism, sleeplessness, and insomnia.

Sesamum indicum- It is mildly laxative, emollient, and demulcent. The seeds and fresh leaves may be used as a poultice.
